The gate at Elton Lock is padlocked. There is an alternative unofficial route but there are no waymarkers at Elton Lock.

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - We can confirm that the gate at this location is not padlocked shut. The chain currently in use is simply hooked over the gate post, we have not witnessed any issues with people accessing or using the gate.
