The road surface has significantly deteriorated and now contains multiple deep potholes, loose material, uneven areas and large sections of standing water. The water obscures the depth of the defects and creates a hazard for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. The defects extend along a considerable length of the road rather than being isolated potholes. The surface appears to be continuing to break up and requires inspection.
