Public footpath guard rails and village sign demolished
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9150667.
A white Vauxhall Van crashed into the wooden railings protecting the footpath entrance into the Pocket Park (Wellingborough Road entrance) and the Little Harrowden Village sign about 4pm this afternoon. We understand that the Police were in attendance. The sign and footpath railings were demolished and are now unsafe, and entry to the Pocket Park is not possible.

Surprised that this is still outstanding given its importance and potential danger to the public - has it even been inspected? A member of the public kindly cleared the pathway so that access to the park could be completed when it should have been the Council's job...?

Can I please be given an estimated time to fix this issue? I was led to believe that it would investigated within 5 working days but not sure that happened? This was raised at the recent Parish Council meeting (I am Chair), and to report that it was still outstanding nearly 2 months later was an embarrassment, and does not show the Council in a good light…

Not sure why this is still being investigated and has not been completed yet - it is now 3 months since the incident and it poses a health & safety risk to villagers using the park?

It is ridiculous that repairs such as this take over 6 months to repair…!
