Suspected Encroachment of Highway under the Highways Act 1980 Section 130 and 137.
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9053250.
Contractors have spent the day installing steel green posts for a six foot (or more) Palisade fence within the grass verge. I believe it maybe highway maintainable land ,extremely close to highway assets such as Signs & Apparatus belonging to other utilities in the grass verge. The land is adjacent what was SureWeld's depot which is now Christ Embassy Church building on Wellingborough Road junction of Saunders Lodge Industrial Estate. I don't believe people should be able to do this and gain a benefit from what is potentially stealing land at the tax payers expense. Please could you investigate and if it is illegal, remove this encroachment as the Authority is legally obliged. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
