Yellow lines faded unlawful parking
Reported via mobile in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 21:02, Wednesday 4 March 2026
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9047974.
The yellow lines around the traffic lights have faded and really also need to be extended along Croyland Road, as people are parking on the pavement and on top of the junction corners. This makes the pavement very unsafe and difficult for the school children and pedestrians to navigate, and is dangerous for traffic using the junction and adjoining roads. This is a major route way close to the senior school, used by emergency vehicles. The parking is antisocial and some cars will wait almost half hour to collect children. I would like the yellow lines extended as they are not long enough around the corners, and would even suggest adding barriers on Croyland Road for additional safety. I raised this issue a couple of years ago and was told it would be monitored. It is exceptionally bad now, people just don’t consider safe parking but stop where they like.
