A6 Road is dangerous, causing disturbance to residents and damage to nearby houses and vehicles

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 22:58, Saturday 28 February 2026

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9019621.

These reports keep being reported and updates say it is being investigated, yet nothing is being done.

Not only is this area dangerous, causing vehicles to weave down a busy A Road (surely thats enough to warranted serious action) but with the A14 closures at night there is a high volume of heavy vehicles hitting these holes in the early hours, this makes a significant noise and disturbed residents sleep. Add to this the extreme amounts of rain and NNCs inability to clean footpaths, the volume of traffic is splashing grit and filth up residents cars and property.

Stop deleting reports to make it loom better and actually do something, this is pure negligence.

  • This issue was not fixed in any way. Infact, I have reported this exact same issue twice and the updates received by NNC were utterly false as well as marking the issue as solved being divisive to illustrate an untrue picture of their progress.

As my report also commented on local residents mental health and noise pollution, it is strange this was removed rather than other reports which contained much less detail. Shameful.
