Huge pot hole

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 17:47, Friday 27 February 2026

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9014026.

Going towards the traffic lights near the Premier shop, after the roundabout on Irthlingborough Road, there is a large, deep pothole that continues to get bigger. If someone hit it they will likely damage their wheel(s) and/ or car, and additionally cars have to drive on the other side of the road in order to dodge it. It is an urgent matter because of the location on a main road, A6, the size and depth of it, as well as the risk drivers have to take by going in the wrong side of the road. I first noticed this pothole a couple of weeks ago and it was fairly small(ish), however it is now a danger to road users.
