Road Surface Disappeared! B645 Near Hargrave

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 09:37, Monday 23 February 2026

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8978187.

The road surface in the marked position has deteriorated to the extent that it stretches across both lanes on this road and it totally unavoidable - I have attached a picture taken from Google Earth to show the location of the part of the road (not the damage!) Considering this road is subject to the national speed limit, being 60mph I fear that not only could people end up in a serious accident it will also cause permanent damage to a vehicle

  • THIS IS URGENT NOW! Vehicles are having to drive on the opposite of the road to avoid it. This is a 60mph single carriage road, added to that this area of the road is just before a hidden dip! How can this not be priority and how on earth has it not been fixed yet?

  • I have contacted the Council directly about this ongoing issue and expressed deep concern that if this doesn't get flagged as a URGENT PRIORITY then someone is going to end up having, what could probably be, a terrible accident!!!!!!!
