  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - There are currently no continuous pedestrian routes throughout the area. The only existing pathways run directly from the road to individual housing blocks, rather than providing connections between the blocks themselves. Where a path does link the road to a block, an appropriate dropped kerb is already in place.

In addition, the existing paths are extremely narrow and cannot accommodate mobility scooters. As a result, installing additional dropped kerbs would not offer meaningful improvement, as the pathways themselves are not suitable for use by individuals with mobility equipment.

It is also important to note that older properties were constructed in accordance with the standards in place at the time. We do not retrospectively upgrade historic infrastructure to meet current highway standards.
