Worsening hole near centreline heading north past 'uneven road' sign

Entirely foreseeably, instead of being repaired as it warranted on any rational assessment of risk, in the time since this fault was logged and scheduled to be addressed 'within 180 days' (i.e. 6 months in language that does not seek to obscure the woeful response time), the defect is worsening by the day and is now unacceptably severe.

In combination with the additional one on the nearside about 80m further north, there is now a really nasty game of chicane roulette to play in face of oncoming traffic, especially at night time in the wet, if you don't fancy risking a visit to the tyre depot/garage, or even the casualty department by tangling with this on a motorcycle.

Of course, if a vehicle suffers a catastrophic tyre or suspension failure as a result of impacting this trench, any loss of control taking the vehicle to the off-side will likely result in a head-on.

Given the exponential increase in HGV traffic on this road due to the many bonkers logistics park planning approvals recently, the last thing any other road user venturing along the A6116 needs now is the perpetuation of entirely and properly repairable defects until they become truly life threatening.

Get a grip and fix it please, before some poor soul comes to grief!
