Ref Nos 5388339, 5549836 and 8384100 refer. Ongoing problem.

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 13:51, Friday 13 February 2026

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8912062.

The installation of a patch on Tuesday 10 February 2026 has not solved the problem of the accumulation of surface water on the road. When a vehicle drives through the water, the water sprays up onto the footpath, onto our garden wall and into our garden, the dip in the road is still there and this is where the water is accumulating; the gradient of the road is not steep enough for the water to drain into the gulley. We spoke to the workmen when they were installing the patch and they said that if this didn't fix the problem then the gulley would have to be repositioned. The problem has been going on for too long, our garden wall will soon fall down and we will have no alternative but to ask NNC to pay for a replacement wall.
