Failed plug joint in carriageway

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8824003.

The plug joint has failed on the bridge over the A14. The resulting pot hole is now 4meters long and goes down on to the bridge deck this is now effecting the waterproofing on the bridge deck and this pot hole has been open for over 9 weeks now. The cost of a temp repair to protect the bridge deck is far less then closing the road and re waterproofing

  • This was fix d with HRA but has failed again the top layer has failed and the 50mm pot hole has formed. This caused by putting the HRA in when the heat from the bottom layers are to hot.
