Uneven surface hazard for visually impaired and other users

Reported via desktop in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 09:55, Monday 2 February 2026

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8818603.

From a resident: When I look at uneven ground all I see is a flat surface - I can't pick out dips, holes and raised patches. The standard white blind cane isn't designed to go off road so can not identify these hazards. This section of path is a key section of the pedestrian through route of Stanwick linking the only official crossing point (zebra crossing) between the north and south sections of the village, and onward destinations. This is a key walking route for all pedestrians , including access to the primary school. The surface needs a fresh cost of tarmac to smooth it out
