Pothole on verge edge by west green

Reported via desktop in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category by Richard Barnwell at 13:40, Thursday 22 January 2026

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8743807.

The west Green is at the west end of Church Lane Great Cransley. As vehicles get bigger people have been driving over the verge to turn at the end of our dead end road. The edge of the road collapsed many years ago and is now a pot hole full of water and the verge edge keeps getting churned up. the west green is surrounded by large setts and one is now loose. also the road surrounding the verge is never cleaned by the gutter vehicle and is always tufty grass which is growing in the tarmac. The pavement alongside 35 Church lane is covered with moss and the gutter there is also never swept, the Vehicle carefully leaves a track about 20 inches from the gutter up the clean part of the road which must contribute to the roadside drains being blocked.
