Overgrown ivy - causing damage to private shed

Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 14:06, Saturday 10 January 2026

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8662068.

I am writing to report an issue regarding ivy overgrowth from council-managed land/boundary fencing adjoining my property.

The council fence behind my garden has ivy that has become significantly overgrown and is now spreading onto my shed roof and walls. As a result, the shed has begun to develop damp patches and damage, which is worsening as the vegetation continues to spread.

I would be grateful if the council could arrange for the ivy to be cut back and the fencing maintained as soon as possible to prevent further deterioration and avoid additional repair costs.

I can provide photographs of the overgrowth and the damage if required, or I am happy for an inspection to be arranged.

Please confirm receipt of this email and advise when I can expect the issue to be addressed.
