Zebra crossing
Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 09:48, Wednesday 3 December 2025
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8495451.
I have reported this as a number of others from the school parents and from the village to the local MP about the zebra crossing at the back of stanwick primary school being dangerous but he suggested reporting to yourselves too so I’m contacting you too there has been a number of near misses at the zebra crossing after school and at at night time with after school clubs there has been multiple near misses and nothing seems to be done the crossing can’t be seen properly and the are drivers not slowing down and going straight through the crossing there is no lighting near the back of the school gates so people coming out of school in the evenings are not being seen by the drivers going past and they don’t stop. It’s getting to frequent that there is going to be an accident. We are trying to get help to make this safe for the children and residents in the village.. there is no crossings further into the village on the highstreet or Spencer parade you have to also step out in between cars to get clear view if you can cross and it’s only going to be time before someone gets seriously hurt in the village due to speeding cars and not clear view and crossings available.
We hope you can help
Imogen Milsom Parent ,resident and committee member of stanwick primary school
