Your up3date is contrary to the below email... please comment..
Thank you for your enquiry regarding the ongoing flooding issue you are experiencing outside
We would like to confirm that after speaking with our drainage team, a works order is currently in our system to use our CCTV camera to investigate the gullies and if necessary, use our root cutter to remove any blocking roots which might be causing the flooding. This work was scheduled to be completed in May 2026, however after discussing this and raising the points you have made, we have expedited this to be completed in January 2026.
Please be assured that we will update you once these works have been completed and will update you on any findings or actions taken. If any flooding occurs between this time, please don’t hesitate to call our emergency line for support.

Whilst we sympathise with your situation and note you feel that condition of the drain has damaged your shed, the onus is on the homeowner to prove, from an independent survey (obtained by contacting their own home insurance company), that any damage to the property has been caused from an actual issue with the maintenance of the carriageway asset, rather than North Northamptonshire Council having to provide evidence that it is not their responsibility. Should you wish to do this, your insurers/solicitors can provide this evidence to the council via the following email address: highwaysinsurance@northnorthants.gov.uk.
Yours sincerely,
