Hedge running the length of Yardley Road
Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 16:08, Tue 4 November 2025
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8376176.
This hedge is usually trimmed back each November. The hedge has not been touched for two years. I received a notification today to say the work had been completed. I can confirm that not a single branch or twig of the hedge has been touched. The work is still outstanding. The hedge continues to grow, and is still scraping on residents cars. This work is now required urgently.

Another 9 days have passed with no response. This work is still outstanding and is required urgently, as the hedge has not been trimmed back for TWO YEARS now. Who can we send the bills to for repairs to the cars getting scratched and damaged by the hedge for the past two years? To clarify - the hedge being referred to starts in front of 2 Yardley Road and runs to 12 Yardley Road, with a large tree in front of 4/6 Yardley Road that also requires pruning back before it pulls out everyone's telephone cables (has happened at least three times previously.) The hedge blocks the view to the houses and is a major security risk to householders in the summer months when it has not been cut back.

A very rushed hedge trimming job has been undertaken today, leaving the hedge very uneven along its length (top and sides). The large tree in front of No. 4 has still not been touched, however - this work is still outstanding, and the tree is still pulling on telephone wires.

The hedge has now been cut back (not very neatly) and you have said that the tree will only be cut back by BT when telephone wires have been pulled out.
