Pothole on edge extending over half meter into road
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 17:09, Monday 3 November 2025
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8371799.
As highlighted in another report, there are numerous potholes on the edge of the road. Travelling from Mears Ashby to Wilby, I had to allow space for another vehicle taking me close to the edge of the road but not over. As the pothole extends over half a meter into the road though, this collision is inevitable. This was at around 6:30pm on Tuesday 28th October, and the road was unlit and there was heavy rain. Even with the size of the pothole, this was very hard to see. This resulted in damage to my vehicle coming to £1866.96 as 2 alloy wheels required replacing which I wish to claim back from the council.
