NEW 50 MPH sign not large enough

Reported via desktop in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category by David Hall at 16:19, Fri 3 October 2025

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8249136.

I have just travelled this road today and almost did not notice that this sign as you drive out of Finedon on A6 has been changed. On the same pole the " National SPEED LIMIT" disc and stripe has been replaced by a "50" disc. Regular users of the road will easily miss this change ! For this change in limit to be effective surely a larger version of the new sign would be more appropriate to gain drivers attention ? As this is a difficult section of road a large yellow temporary sign would also help to adjust to the new limit and compliance with new restriction ? The same would apply at the other end of the new limit.
