Path subsidence from number 3 right down to 33 Grombold Ave

Reported via mobile in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 10:25, Fri 5 September 2025

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8123103.

The stretch of road from number 3 to 33 Grombold Ave has been slowly subsiding for years. The cracks get patched up with some sort of Tar but within 12 moths start to reapear. As well as the existing patched areas all recracking ( some having being repatched more than once). There is a significant shift happerning, and a large number of new cracks are forming along the whole length of that part of the road. Some of them are quite wide for the short period of time these new cracks have been developing. There is a significant increase in the number of cracks within the last 6 weeks. They are even forming on the side of the path nearest to the houses. Where previously its always been the side closest to the small bank/road. The stretch of path needs completely redoing with some type of retaining measures put in to stop it rehaperning. Patching the cracks does not fix the what causes the pavement to crack in the first place. The 3 pictures I have uploaded do not really show the extent of the problem or depth and width of some of the cracks. But you are limited to 3 pictures.
