Large limb of tree has cracked and is hanging blocking footpath

Apple tree growing in verge at junction of Wood St and Chase View Road. Weight of apples has snapped a very large limb, which is still attached but hanging very low, blocking the footpath.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the NNC Highways Inspection Manual, the vegetation meets the criteria for a Priority 1 response. We will schedule vegetation clearance to be completed within 24 hours.
