Morrisons hgv driver again demolished the barrier
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8038512.
Barrier now a danger to pedestrians, Morrisons Hgv 21.45pm last night, it’s about time Morrisons were charged for the previous dozen barriers. I also point the finger of blame towards North Northants Council, 1, for installing a high kerb that isn’t long enough, 2, Westfield Road should be weight restricted to 7.5ton.

Since I first reported this matter, they came and put the red barrier in place. That’s as far as it’s got.

Problem is too many large hgv’s using Westfield road as a short cut. Urgently needs a weight limit of 7.5 tons

Please be advised weight limits are enforced by the police, who must be physically present on-site to conduct the necessary checks. As this responsibility falls outside the jurisdiction of the council, I recommend reaching out directly to your local policing team for assistance as NNC do not have any plans to implement a restriction at the location currently.
