Dangerous verge

So there is a big hole in the verge/ bushes and children play on the green bit and some have footballs the balls and children go to get balls on its very dangerous there because there is a road there and you have car and lorries and tractors that go on that road all the time and 1 day a child is gonna fall down and get hurt. I think there needs a fence. Put in place to stop this from happening.\n It's the welfare of the children. That live in this area

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - Thank you for your enquiry. After reviewing the photo provided and the pinpointed location, I believe you are referring to the green area on Castle View, behind Well Lane, but please re-open this with a what.three.word location if this is incorrect.

    The green area in Castle View and most of Castle View, is not part of the adopted highway and is not an area NNC Highways could carry out work on. Only the private landowner would be able to assist with this request. To see highway extents, please follow this link: https://experience.arcgis.com/ experience/ d8840a7cf90248daa7675c43bc167b39/ .
    NNC would also not put fences on a location like this, as it is not a designated play area, and would encourage playing in a potentially dangerous location. If children and guardians chose to play here, they should do so cautiously. I am sorry I could not be of more help.
