Overgrown

Reported via desktop in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 14:42, Thu 7 August 2025

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7993517.

Previous response doesn't seem correct even the wildlife trust over the road cut back their paths during summer and they're wildlife experts. also only yesterday a 50yard stretch of hedging has been cut back to 1.5-2m outside the needle & awl by lidl down northampton rd. so reason given about not cutting until october end of nesting simply doesn't wash!

  • Investigation: Completed (Routine Planned Maintenance) - Thank you for your enquiry regarding vegetation along this public Right of Way.

This route is included in our annual mowing and clearance programmes for Rights of Way. The mowing programme runs during the peak growing season and is carried out twice a year. The first cut along this path took place in April, and the second cut is scheduled for September. We have asked our contractor to prioritise this location.

In addition, a clearance programme will take place after the bird nesting season ends in October. At that time, any overgrown or obstructing trees and shrubs along the Right of Way will be cut back.

We appreciate that some residents may feel the current policy of mowing twice a year does not always keep vegetation to the desired standard, and we will continue to review our maintenance schedules where possible.
