Tree overhanging road entering Olympic Way residential section
Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 14:10, Thu 7 August 2025
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7993288.
This tree has been growing and drooping more and more over several years. The bark falls off in large sheets, especially in windy weather. The lowest branches are looking dry and brittle due to lack of rain and being hit by the roofs of high vehicles. When council contractors cut other trees and hedges in the area, this one isn't touched. If a large branch does come down on to the road eg in a storm, there could be a vehicle or pedestrian underneath and the only way in and out of Olympic Way/Merrivale Close could be blocked. This is the 3rd time I've reported this with no response.
