Need yellow lines along the length of service road.

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 11:03, Wed 6 August 2025

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7986488.

Need yellow lines along the length of the service road off Brambleside, Kettering - entrance is by the pub - The Briars". Trucks entering the road are having to mount the pavement to get past parked vehicles and also this is causing issues with exit as there is no room to be on correct position to enter or exit. Can be dangerous. There is a walkway next to the road which pedestrians use and as you cannot see round the corner, danger of accident or harm to public. Worse when school time as parents use this to park on to drop off kids, so no room for delivery to the businesses off the service road. As you come from Rockingham Road to turn in, a 40 foot trailer will not get round the corner without mounting the pavement & verge. Drivers are worried when using this service road.

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - Thank you for your enquiry. This section of road/service road, is not part of the adopted highway. Highways would be unable to put parking restrictions on a road that is unadopted, as it is private land. Only the landowner would be able to consider restrictions here.
