Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7930999.

This PRoW is still obstructed/blocked, this route UG19 is still on the Definitive map meaning it is a legal record of the path and should be open from the public to pass and repass.
NNC have a legal responsible to either reopen the route or lawfully close it, 5 years on nothing has happened, in the meantime a home owner has built on the PRoW which now gives the NNC any problem Due to the length of time NNC have been aware of this issue I would at least need acknowledgement of a solution being undertaken, or we would have to pursue NNC to undertake their lawful responsibly

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - We are currently investigating this matter as it is a complicated issue that has no simple solution. My line manager is attending a meeting next week where he hopes to raise this matter as there is another issue in Raunds and the Parish Council and other members will be present at that meeting. Hopefully there is time to discuss this issue as well. If not we will discuss this matter internally and proceed with the next steps the following week.

Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - It is likely that we will be looking at consulting on an Extinguishment Order due to there being a highway alternative in place. There will be a subsequent period in which anyone can object to this proposal and should it be necessary/supported we would likely end up at a Public Inquiry or Hearing.
