Road Signs Blocked By Trees and Bushes from A6/A45 to A6/Avenue Road (Rushden) Junction
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 18:41, Wed 2 July 2025
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7799320.
Starting from A45/A6 Roundabout up to A6/Avenue Road (Rushden) Most of the road signs are blocked by overgrown trees, important road signs and warning signs are not visible. The Area Inspector responsible to inspect this stretch of A6 and the Head of Highways must be held accountable for any H&S incidents happening on this road or causing any injury or accidents. Two direction signs on the roundabout exits on this stretch was broken or missing. Road Users should never be subject to this sort poorly managed major road. Please do not duplicate this report and request all my comments to go on public register for records. This stretch of A6 is badly neglected, trees/bushes in the middle partition of road and both sides over filled with overgrowth and all important road signs are fully or partially hidden.

The overgrowth in the middle partition is causing serious issues also the overgrowth on both sides of A6 is obstructing road signs and both the above issues are serious in nature and cause accident or pose H&S issues for road users and this overgrowth did not happen overnight it was result of one year neglect by the Highways and to say that it will be sorted in next 26 weeks is not acceptable and we will now explore legal action, road users deserve better service from Highways.
