Hedge running the length of Yardley Road

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 10:03, Monday 9 June 2025

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council 3 hours, 59 minutes later. ref: 7680926.

Another week has passed and the hedge has grown further. The hedge is scraping on vehicles parked in the residents parking area - who should we send paintwork touch up bills to? The Yardley Road street sign now reads "ley Road." The tree continues to grow and stretch telephone cables. The hedge is usually trimmed annually in November, but this has not been carried out for TWO YEARS now. This hedge requires urgent works.

  • We are well past the nesting season.... This hedge desperately needs cutting back now, so as not to cause yet more damage to the residents cars. Please make sure that the trimming of this hedge is included in your annual schedules in future, as it has not been cut back for two years now.

  • Investigation: Completed (Work Completed), Defect Repair: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. The works were originally planned for 10 July but could not proceed due to active bird nesting on site. They are now scheduled for completion before 15 December.
