Road Closure for close to 5 years. No sign of any progress!
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6982088.
As originally reported in November 2022. Station Road exit onto A6. Bridge over waterways closed for approx 5 years. Road closure sign updated intermittently. No sign of any progress!
Left turns are prohibited at the northern junction with the A6. Whilst the easier exit point at the south end closed as above. Signage promised the bridge would be open again in January 2023. Can you confirm the reason for this significant delay? A similar sign was in place the year before, and the dates have just been pushed back. Exiting the north junction by turning right is particularly difficult in the winter.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - Thank you for your enquiry, we can confirm that this road has been closed due to it being unsafe. This bridge is still in the redesigning stage with no date for the start of works.
