    State changed to: Investigating

Posted by North Northamptonshire Council at 16:30, Fri 13 December 2024

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 10:30, Sunday 12 January 2025

  • Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Thank you for making us aware of your concerns. Centre lines are not provided on many narrower rural roads, as this can encourage higher speeds which might not always be appropriate. Simply having centre lines does not necessarily mean that all vehicles can keep to their own side of the road, depending on the size of the vehicle, and so it can be misleading in that respect. We will review the road in light of your concerns, but generally speaking if there are not centre lines already, then it may not meet the criteria for having them. Thank you for contacting us about this matter.
