RE: Verge rutting
Reported via mobile in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category by Craig Blacha at 08:47, Sat 7 December 2024
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6830041.
Highways Safety Inspection Manual 6.1 Verge Rutting
Are pedestrians likely to cross at the location ? A/ Yes on or near the location due to footpath presence and nearby zebra crossing.
Is there a footpath nearby? A/ Yes adjoining to popular walkway.
Is it a one off or constant rut? A/ This is a regular rut as there is a mudded dip and the grass has stopped growing back - the indication of damaged kerbstones would suggest heavy vehicles have hit this - kerb stones reported separately.
Are there single or numerous ruts? It is likely to continue as the kerbstones are damaged, this has also been reported on FMS and numerous tyre marks on the site aswell.
I look forward to your assessment on these findings
