People driving on grass verge to bypass flooded road

Reported via mobile in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category anonymously at 18:41, Thursday 28 November 2024

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6797906.

Raised on Monday 25-Nov that Stoke Doyle Road was flooding and not draining. Council closed the item on 26-Nov that no action was necessary. Road flooded again on 27-Nov however this time vehicles have started driving on the grass verge and even the footpath between the wall and salt bin to bypass the standing water on the road.

This is an issue as the drains for the houses pass under the verge and have previously broken when a vehicle drove over the verge.

It's also dangerous having vehicles drive on the verge and pavement.
