RE: Obstructed footpath

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6786843.

Footpath obstructed outside 60 Melloway Drive Rushden from private hedge pretending the public footpath.

Can highways write to the property owner if the hedge and complete a follow up visit.

  • Investigation: Completed (Reported to a third party) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that the vegetation is the responsibility of the landowner. In accordance with the NNC Network Management Plan, we will contact the landowner and request they cut back their vegetation within 14 days of receipt of our correspondence. We will reinspect the vegetation to ensure they have complied.
