Fallen branch due to tree decay

Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 16:31, Tuesday

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6539233.

The silver birch at the top of St Peter’s Avenue, Rushden could benefit from a health check, a large branch has recently fallen off the tree due to decay within the branches, evidence of fungi and rot. I really don’t want the tree removing but the safety of pedestrians and road users is paramount. Some branches are hanging over existing electrical house wires.
