Ditches are overgrown and full of mud, not allowing water to flow from road.

This is a constant issue when heavy rain occurs, ditch needs dredging.

A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the NNC Highways Inspection Manual, the flooding has been assessed and requires a Priority 3 response. We will schedule drainage investigation work to be completed within 28 days. When the investigation has been completed, we will inform you of our findings and course of action. Our current average response time for a Priority 3 is 14.3 days.

  • Customer called saying that people came out yesterday, but it has gotten much worse since then, that the road is now flooded, and that now due to the drain blockage, his sewage is going to start backing up soon, making it difficult to flush the toilet

  • Investigation: Ongoing (Defect Found) - We can confirm that the drainage investigation works have taken place here and tree roots were found to be obstructing the pipe. We have now scheduled the removal of the tree roots within the drain, but as specialist equipment is required this may take some time to resolve. We will carry out this work as soon as we are able but this may take up to 26 weeks.
