Flooding footpath

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6514012.

Previous reports have suggested the blocked culvert would be cleared by a contractor as the landowners have not responded to requests. This has not been done over the summer and the area is becoming waterlogged due to the rains and will soon be impassable as it was all last winter and spring . These needs resolving to avoid blocking the public footpath

  • This remains an issue- recent rains indicate culvert under path flowing but the stream upstream is topping over the bank and overland flow is causing the waterlogging . The stream is covered by vegetation so it’s not possible to see what is blocking the flow causing it to flood out of its channel .

    A previous report by another person ref 5984212 also reported this last May to which the following update was given…… investigation: Ongoing (Reported to another department within NNC) - We have requested a quote for this to be cleared, this will then be charged back to the landowner.

    Has the work now been instructed as the winter is approaching and the footpath is blocked by waterlogged ground
