For some time, the 40 mph signs on the approach to the Chowns Mill Roundabout on the A6 have been obscured by vegetation.
The road marking is visible but only from a closer distance.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the NNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 126.2 days.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm that we have been made aware of this issue. A works order has been raised which you can follow on Job:503021 and add updates. The expected completion date for these works will be 10/03/2025.
