Overgrown hedge

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 10:44, Fri 12 July 2024

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council 1 minute later. ref: 6221515.

At the Castle Hill end of School Lane is an overgrown lavender hedge which encroaches over 1m into the narrow pavement. This pavement forms part of the busy connection between the two schools and pavement users especially those with wheelchairs or pushchairs are forced to walk around parked cars onto the road. With the vegetation being lavender a large number of bee's are attracted to the area and pose a risk of injury ro those with seruous reactions to stings. Under the highways act 1980 it is the responsibility of owners to trim hedges regularly and to ensure they are with boundaries where possible.
