Overgrown verges

Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 17:14, Wed 3 July 2024

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6187750.

Grass on verges obstructing visibility on bends and warning signs. Grass is so long it is falling into the carriageway effectively narrowing the width of the road forcing vehicles into the centre of the road. In one of the photos attached there is actually a chevron sign which is almost completely hidden. This location is just one example and is typical of the verges on most of the rural roads in North Northants. This is a serious safety issue and needs addressing urgently.

  • This has NOT been fixed. I suggest someone goes out to check for themselves. The verges have not been cut as you can see from the photos taken today. All the rural verges in this area are in a similar neglected state.
