Secondary blocked drain - ongoing
Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category by Richard Amey at 14:31, Wed 5 June 2024
Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6067282.
Wed 5/6. Your team attended this morning to spend 20 minutes pumping out the drain past the bus shelter which was not blocked! They totally missed the blocked drain out side Headland premises which is the cause of this secondary flood to footpath and roadside, see photos taken after your team left. The blocked drain has not been touched. Flooding still persists.

According to Fix my street report of 24/ 7/24 it is a priority 3 issue and will be completed within 28 days. Nothing happened. But as of 21/8/24 this is now a priority 4 issue and investigations will be completed "within 26 weeks"! Despite all attempts to get a resolution we are still walking and driving through the Station Road 'Water Feature'.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the NNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 119.6 days. This has a large time frame as they will not be clearing the drain but replacing it to prevent this issue from occurring in the future.
