Unsuitable gate catch on bridleway

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 5937979.

The gate catch is unsuitable for opening on horse back, you need two hands, one to operate the catch and one to push the gate open. The gate also swings shut with too much force/too quickly to get a horse through.

    Catch not improved and still unsuitable from horse back

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - We can confirm that minor improvement works were previously carried out to the gate at this location. We have however contacted the landowner again and requested that the removeable post (which is causing the issues) to be improved, within the next 28 days.
