Vehicles parking and obstructing buses view of stop

I wait at this bus stop often and it is rarely clear of traffic. There is no layby or yellow lines to indicate a stop and so vehicles are always parking in front of it. Today a transit van parked in front of me whilst waiting and made it impossible for any bus to see me or for me to see the bus approaching and the bus simply passed me which is why I have chosen to email. I feel there is a need for markings on the road to show that there is space required here for busses stopping. It is really frustrating that drivers don't take the stop into consideration so a few markings on the road would be ideal.
