Broken glass, destroyed playground

Reported via iOS in the Parks/landscapes category by George glackin at 19:42, Wed 21 June 2023

Sent to North Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 4701577.

3 weeks on nothing has been done. Jubilee avenue play park. Surface destroyed causing trip hazards, smashed glass absolutely everywhere, my 3 year old fell over and cut his hands and his knees. When will it get fixed please? It’s such a sad mess and the council seem unbothered.

  • I'm part of the youth club which runs on a Tuesday at Hazel leys happening hub and our children love playing outside but unfortunately the park has been destroyed. Every week there is smashed glass everywhere including : basketball court, skate ramp and play areas, which we ourselves try and clear up but there is just too much its a real safety concern when so many children use this park! The floor has been pulled up and thrown everywhere which again is an accident waiting to happen with a fall. There needs to be a road sweeper down here couple times a week and more police patrols or even cctv to monitor the antisocial behaviour of a few which ruin it for alot.
