The sign is misleading, or is being misinterpreted.

A combination of the sign (pictured) and lane markings causes problems every day I use that roundabout. My interpretation of the sign and the lane markings is that lane 2 (Marked KETT) is the appropriate lane for traffic approaching Kettering via Rockingham Road, Lane 1 is intended for those traveling to Geddington and Kettering via the A4300, and Stamford Road. Not everyone shares that interpretation, despite their having to cross a lane divider from Lane 1 on the roundabout to get to Rockingham Road... They believe they are in the correct lane despite their having to change lanes... There will be an incident there at some time, due to the lane markings misleading people...
